Days/Hours of work: Mon to Fri 9.00 am to 5.00 pm (35 Hours per week)

Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 (depending on experience)

We have an immediate vacancy for a full-time Legal Cashier to provide financial/ administrative support to the Accounts Manager.

Duties include

  • Processing supplier invoices, credit card transactions, petty cash and arranging supplier payments
  • Posting disbursements and reconciling Land Registry statements/Search provider invoices
  • Dealing with queries from Secretaries and Fee Earners in relation to Office Account Transactions
  • Assisting with month end billing
  • Assisting with WIP reviews when required (training to be undertaken)
  • Producing billing lists for Fee Earners monthly for billing purposes
  • Assisting the Accounts Manager with training Secretaries/ new Fee Earners/Trainees when required producing training notes
  • Setting up platforms for some of our American clients
  • Assist with WIP and FE file management
  • Carry out COFA file reviews and work with COFA to check compliance with financial regulatory requirements
  • Provide cover for the Accounts Manager during holiday periods
  • General administrative support for Accounts Manager and Office Manager

Person Specification

  • Previous accounts experience in a legal environment
  • Understanding of VAT/SRA Accounts rules (preferable)
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility to provide holiday cover for the Accounts Manager.
